Hey guys, here's my problem. I am having my CEL come on about every three weeks or so. It is always from a dirty MAF. I have a DC Sports CAI and my filter is relatively clean. The manufacturer says it's an "oilless" filter but I'm wondering if I should just oil it (wiht K&N filter oil) and see if the MAF will stay cleaner?

 

Filter oil would make it dirtier.

What are you cleaning you maf with?

 

I've got a can of aerosol MAF cleaner from piston ring

 

do you have a hydroshield?

 

I don't, but I did close up the fender area where the filter sits to keep it dry, I don't think moisture is an issue.

 

Moisture can still find its way in via fog light. Get a hydroshield and call it a day.

 

yeah definitely get one even if it looks dry, I bet it'll help
