clear image auto tune

I was just wondering if anyone who has this done has dyno'd to see what kind of gains the tune is pushing out with full bolt-ons. Or if anyone has any ideas close to the possible gains this particular tune would give, that would be helpful too. I'm pretty much leaning toward getting this, but i'd still like to know what i'll be getting before i lay down the money for it. Also would this be getting rid of the CEL from the intake, same as a custom tune would? I found a place near here that lists our 2.4 model as one of the cars they can tune so i'll look into that as well. But the clear image tune seems to be the less expensive way to go so i'd really like to see what you guys say about it. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can help.

Full bolt on's consisting of intake, header, dp, and exhaust which is the basic bolt-on's plus a tune will set you in the 170-180whp range. Talk with RedFocz (Mike) he know's a lot about the 2.4L's.

My car is Clear Image (well actually, Trifecta, which is the company that tunes for Clear Image) tuned, but I did it on a dyno and it is unique to my car. I would not suggest buying a canned tune unless that is the only type of tune avalible for your car.

Ah so it's not such a good idea. I was mainly leaning toward it just because of convenience. Ok i'll definitely look more into local tuning. The place i just looked up is www.exatorq.com, which is about 30-40 min from my place. I think they use a tune from tune time perfomance for the balts. Cost is $399 plus you get lifetime updates for $25, so it doesn't sound too bad. Or is someone with hptuners still the best? What do you guys think?

If the place uses a canned tune, then you would be better served looking for someone local with HPTuners. If they custom tune you on a road or dyno, then go with them.
