Exclamation clutch & short throw

I need to replace my clutch ASAP and I don't want a pos. I was looking at the greddy stage 1 clutchs that are on ebay at the moment. I read something about a 30% increase in torque? I couldn't find this in the info when I looked again today so maybe I read it wrong. Anyways, I was hoping that I could get some info quick before I went out and possibly made a bad decision. Also, I want a good short throw shifter, i hate the stock shifter. It sticks sometimes and after driving my buddies modded supra I instantly wanted to buy one at that moment! Like I said I need to get a clutch ASAP. Mine is slipping and I don't want to drive with it for too long. Thank you in advance!! =D

that 30% increase was probably in holding power, not increasing the torque your engine produces.

i didn't know Greddy made clutches for the cobalt? be careful when selecting a clutch man.

twm makes a good shifter, don't know much about your options for the 2.4, but i think they make a one for ya.

Yes ebay is great, but then if you have ANY issues they have your $ and could care less.

Also Greddy does not make a clutch, I think you mean exedy stage 1, which is a VERY minor upgrade from stock. SPEC is the way to go, stage 2+ or 3+....

Thanks for the props. We do make a short shifter for the 2.4, actually we have both the SS/SC short shifter and the non SS/SC. It's on sale this month, check it out here: TWM Cobalt Short Shifter, now available with several shift knob options.

Thanks,

Kevin

Does that fit right in without any modification to the car other then taking the old stock shifter out?

There is a piece of plastic that needs to be cut from the shift assembly, here's the link to the installation manual:

http://www.twmperformance.com/manual...n%20Manual.pdf

You can see on step 16 the part that needs to be cut off the shift assembly. The installation of the short shifter is pretty straight forward.

I have the TWM and I love it. Easy install, and I've never done a shifter before.
