Corsa vs. Magnaflow

Just curious to hear from people who have aftermarket exhaust.. im looking for a good catback for my 2.4ss. Corsa or Magnaflow? or maybe theres some others out there that are even better.. who knows. I've heard the sound clip of the Corsa.. about the sound/performance gain im looking for, but still open to opinions.. can I get some feedback to help me decide?

corsa is a cleaner sound than magnaflow, also corsa is used on the official race car cobalts so that should say something right there, i would say slightly higher gains with corsa

Ive got the 2.25inch Magnaflow on my 2.4SS and Im having a lot of fun with it. Maybe Corsa was the better way to go, but I got a good deal on Magnaflow and it hasnt let me down.

It shouldnt be long before someone post a sound clip for the Corsa 2.4L system, we have sold a few for them. They just need to speak up

i am going to buy a dc sports cat-back system..they sound awesome.. mkulrey has one on his 2.2L and it sounds sweet. Combine it with the 2.4L with an intake and you should have a very desirable sound. Also, the DC Sports system is about $450 shipped...much cheaper than corsa or magnaflow...

i thought the dc sports was only made for the 2.2 cobalts? even if it isnt i would highly advise not to put a 2.25 inch exhaust on the 2.4 ss

I went the cheap easy way and just replaced the muffler itself with a Borla universal muffler and with the Injen CAI on my 2.4 it sounds wicked. don't worry I'll try to get some vid up as soon as I can.

My setup: Megan n1 universal muffler $80
Exhaust shop to replace 2.25 exhaust portion with 2.5 and install $80.

So $160 for my exhaust and i'll let you all know my gains and a sound clip next week

I was wonderin' the same thing of which to go with.
I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow for the cleaner, smoother sound. But don't get me wrong, the Corsa sounds good as well.
Kind of hard to judge through sound clips but I think the Magnaflow gets my nod.
It's the price of the Corsa that's making me twitch.

You are going to see alot more gains out of the Corsa with the 2.5" piping over the magnaflows 2.25". The stock piping is 2.25 just not mandrel bent which can help improve flow. If you want to see gains then save up for the Corsa or take it to a muffler shop. If you just want sound then get a magnaflow. Your call.

do you personally have 2.5 piping on your car. cause i think that would be to much on a non forced induction 4 banger.

I just can't get past the price for a Corsa system... it may sound awesome... but that's just a bit much for me...

I'll probably end up getting a local shop to fab me up a 2.5 system with a flowmaster muffler.

I don't but I've seen alot of 4-cyl cars that benefit from 2.5". Plus I think it's silly to spend over 500$ on an exhaust when the only benefit over what you have is mandrel bent piping. You're not going to see many gains hp or tq if you don't increase pipe size. Going larger won't hurt the car you just don't get any additional flow increase. With a 2.5" Corsa you get alot more increase than with the magnaflow. I'm planning on getting 2.5" piping on mine. I've got a muffler shop that can mandrel bend so I'm just saving up for my exhaust.
