Cracked my Flex Pipe - Info on Fixing?

So I cracked my flexpipe on my downpipe... I've done my research. Saw some people say 80,000 mile emissions special coverage warranty will cover the downpipe while others said the same but 120,000 miles 10year. Went to my dealership to find out whats up and 80,000 is correct. Viewed it and read it on his computer. So I'm out of luck there since I now have 118k.

So my question is how is everyone fixing their flex pipes? Muffler shop for new flex section? ZZP flange flex pipe peice? Anyone got pics of their fixed flex pipes? And I say fixed because I know alot of people just replace their whole downpipe but I live in CA and don't have that option

You just can't buy a catless downpipe. Try to find someone selling a stock on on the forum. Way cheaper then having a welder fix it.

Well there is no CA approved Catalytic Converters for the 2.4 Cobalt SS. Magnaflow makes one for the 2.0 but exhaust shop said the numbers wouldnt match for my 2.4 to pass smog. To pass smog I have to have a OEM or approved Cat... Or car is failed for tampering with emissions system..

Order a flex from vibrant for the size pipe diameter you have. have a shop weld it in

I was thinking that as well but I saw this guy having some problems. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...cement-189516/

So was leaning to the new flange all ready to go with new gasket for like $20 more

I went ahead and ordered the ZZP pipe replacement off their eBay sales. $36.50 + $10 shipping so $46.50 and a new Walker 31311 Gasket for the other flange for like $3.80 shipped so $50 total shipped. I'll update this thread when complete for people searching in the future. Hopefully should make it pretty easy.
