a deep tone exhaust?

So my boyfriend said he will buy me an exhaust for my 2.4 na SS, but he said he will not buy if it will have a pinging sound. So which exhaust has a deep tone if any for that matter?

You should do a custom exhaust instead as it will sound just as good and it'll cost less. Heres the part you need.

GMPP and Magnaflows are pretty popular. The gmpp is among the more mild of the exhausts but has a nice tone. Though a slightly higher price.

The cheapest exhausts are
SLP
DC Sports
Megan
tsudo

More expensive
Gmpp
Magnaflow
Hahn
Some of the ARK exhausts

Honestly I do like the sound of the gmpp. Though im not a fan of its pipe size.

if u have plans of boosting then I would wait til after u boost. but if u just want to make it sound nice well u can get a muffler cut the restrictive one of and weld the muffler on... it cost me around 160... bucks for part and to get it welded on has a nice sound to it. I will be goin 3" all the way through as that will help me as im boosted

Just keep in mind guys gmpp exaust is smaller piping than our stock piping which means less hp. So the real question is sound or performance. GMPP is just sound. I mean it doesn't reduce performance, but if your looking for max performance then I wouldn't go with GMPP. I recommend a magnaflow it's what I have and it sounds wonderful. Definitely deep tone.

i have the corsa on my ws6 witch sounds great and fit and finish is great. i just herd the sound clip of the GMPP cat back for the cobalt as well as the corsa. if it where me i would go GMPP the sound is way better over the corsa i think.

my cobalt SS is used for work mostly and long trips i personly would not care to have something that rattled my ears every time i touch the gas peddle!

as far as smaller pipe then stock with the GMPP i have no clue. But I'm pretty sure its a tuned system for these cars. I see claims of 10 horse over stock with this system.
i have a stock manifold and zzp off road down pipe and stock cat back on my car and i will say it sounds like ****. around the low speed cruise its not so bad getting on the expressway it has the pissed off bumble bee rasp.

Do you really think with just a magnaflow resonator it would sound nice?

gmpp or magnaflow but for the price of both i would get the magnaflow catback, plus it has a stock look finish so you cant tell its aftermarket. with the megan exhaust you will have the can type muffler and it will emit more exhaust note than the gmpp or magnaflow catbacks.
