different intakes = different noise..??

Hey guys,

So, I was wondering something..

I have an Injen intake on my 2.4. I used it as a short ram for awhile, then eventually switched over to a CAI. I have a K&N cone on it. I like the intake, and have no problems with it, aside from the fact that, for an intake, it's very quiet. I had an AEM on my old Accord and some generic one of my '04 Monte SS (temporary) and they were much louder. Hell, my Edelbrock open top on my Olds is even louder than any of them.. lol But what I'm getting at, is that for an intake, it's very quiet. It only really makes any noise when you tromp on it. Even then, you don't have much of a sucking noise, but rather a very deep GURRRRRRR.. I'm used to that slight whistling / sucking noise.. Is this just the Injen brand overall in being quiet-ish or is that just Cobalts? Haven't been around enough modded ones to be able to tell.. I have no problem with the performance of this intake, I just like the extra noise my other ones made.. So I was just wondering what was up..

Thanks!

I had an injen on my galant when I had it and have a Fujita on my cobalt now. The injen on the galant was alot louder than the Fujita, but then again maybe the plastic that the fujita doesn't remove has something to do with it....

The Injen short ram on my 2.2 sounded really awesome. Especially when you were in a tunnel.

Yeah, I have it as a CAI right now.. Would the CAI cut down a bit of the noise compared to SRI?
