Talking Drove in L gear today.. wow

During my boring afternoon i decided to merge onto the highway in the L gear.. i just have to say WOW it puts you right on the powerband, the car is sooooo responsive.. it totally felt like a different car... i shifted the auto to D while driving, i know its bad but i had to do it before i killed someone lol.. I tried it again at a red light and floored it, the car sounded like it was going to take off.. i must say, i really like driving without the traction control on, i really wish we had a t/c on/off button like it ions.. so for those of you, who havent tried driving in L gear yet, go do it just once... just be careful.

thats how i usualy drag race.

torque brake it in L. it shifts the 1 time. 2 gears, approximately 60mph, and it maxes, then i switch to I.

So i pull up, throw it in L, go...it shifts.....goes up again, i throw it into I.

I always do that at the strip... or when I need to get out in traffic fast... otherwise the ECU will detect tire spin and kill the gas.

Lemme tell ya'... it sucks when you get just enough gas to get out into the first lane of cross traffic... then the ECU kills it for a second... ya' really begin to wonder.

Clicking the e-brake up will disengage TC... but it will also generate a check engine light after a bit.

About the T/C.

My truck had a T/C on/off switch, but thats only because I had the G80 Locking Differential in my Crew Cab. Had way too much fun with the T/C off in the snow!

So I've had my experience with T/C's and what not. It does suck for you guys with an auto that you can't turn that off. Hell, in my dad's 98 Concorde LXi, he has a switch for T/C. Stupid Chevy for not putting stuff like that in. BTW, my truck was an 04.

Hopefully somebody comes out with something for you guys.

I always thaught L only had like 1 gear. How many does it have? from the sounds of it, it sounds like it has 3. If thats the case I will deffinately use that more often when at the track.
