E-brake problem
My E-Brake will not engage. I owned a 04 sunfire with the same problem and was told by the dealership that rolling backwards down a hill in neutral and then engaging the ebrake would fix the problem (self adjusting). But It didnt work then, and I had the dealership fix it. I am having the same problem now. My e-brake will not engage. I'm wondering If someone has a fix to this (easy or complicated) I don't want to go to the stealership.

Well, check the cables under the rear cupholders and see if they are connected, i had the same issue and just took it in to the dealership, warranty covered it, and now its fine

Cobalt's are very well known to have a weak e-brake. the only cobalts i know that do NOT have weak e-brakes is the ones with the drum's on the rear. those will hold that rear tire like its nobodies business.
one guy on here had his car roll down an embankment because his e-brake was ****. I think it was USMCFieldMP

THANK YOU! One of the cables was disconnected, and I think the clip that holds the cables was upside down, so I flipped it over, and now it works fine. +100 Kudos.
