Exhaust question

I'm gonna be installing a catback system on my car soon and a header but with the stock downpipe, will this hurt my performance?

our stock dps are very restrictive however this will be a good performance increase over stock. if you dont have much money i would suggest an lsj downpipe, its slightly bigger and you can find them cheap used.

Moneys not an issue, just looking for something with a nice sound and not to loud or raspy, I have the megan exhaust ordered and from the clips online it doesn't sound to bad, the header is a cheap ebay job but I was thinking about getting a different one with a downpipe, what would u suggest?

Yes, stock LSJ downpipe is best bang for the buck, especially if you own an 08 with two cats.

I'm running GMPP honed mani with LSJ downpipe and stock catback. Most replace the catback first for the "sound" but if you really want performance, upgrade the manifold and downpipe first. The stock catback really isn't that restrictive.

I would definately upgrade your downpipe at the same time as the header. Also be prepared combined with the megan exhaust your car is gunna be really loud.
