Future engine plans

So I'm trying to decide what I want to do for a motor. I am possibly thinking of using my ported LE5 head on a LNF short block (giving me the option to use the E37 ECM) ditching the LNF pistons for some LSJ pistons. Then, I am not sure yet but can the LSJ's manifold bolt to the LNF or will I run into problems there. As for the flex plate, my current plan is to model it up at work and then machine out a new 8-bolt plate. For tuning I will see if I can use Moto Tron and then have the help of the entire Calibration department. Thoughts?

Why dont you just run LE5 block, p&p le5 head. Less custom work, more torque
The LE5 is good for 400ish

Touche, although it would cost me about 15$ to make it, and a little time to model it...either way.
My only grudge against the LE5 now is the failed sleeve. Kinda sketched me out.

Ah I gotcha; They cant be that bad, but I will find out soon with a 2.5/2.6 pulley on stock lower end.
Yes; quite a bit of auto HHR stuff should work, although I have never messed with one

lnf is direct injection, you cannot put an lsj intake manifold on it.

Yeah but if I use the LE5 head it becomes basically a gen 2 LSJ, and the intake mani will bolt up to the LE5 head because I've done that before.
