AEM or K&N might fit, but for the best fitment go with the GMPP replacement filter.

AEM dryflow filters. Although, I don't remember the size was recommended for the replacements.. I forgot to measure for fitting one on the GMPP intake when I installed it.

I'm checking the for the best size tomorrow so I can order a dryflow tomorrow.

Any cone filter will work as long as it fits in the box and onto the intake tube properly, but I've always been told that the AEM dryflows are better for our cars than oiled filters, but that really just depends on who you talk to.

the dryflos are nice because there is no rick of oil on the MAF.

that said, a QUALITY oiled filter shouldn't be an issue either, as long as you do not over oil.

personally, i would go with either the K&N or the AEM, because having used both products, i can tell you that they are both high quality pieces.

I understand that oil in the MAF is bad, but i read a post on here that you can just clean the MAF with some carb cleaner and get it back to brandspakin new operation.

GM actually calls it an Air Cleaner kit... it is for the 05-07 2.2L and 06-07 2.4L engines, just not select 2006 cobalt 2.2L that are equipped with secondary air.

edit: im still in my PJ's.. ill head out in a bit to check for a good size filter.

remember the air filter for the gmpp intake has an offset, the tube does not enter the cone filter in the middle

Is there only 1 size for a fujita f5 filter or or there a specific one? I like the sound of this filter, is it dryflow?

Why is the GMPP filter inferior to AEM, etc? To me they all seem to be the same in that they are oil free conical filters.

The part number for the red GMPP filter is 88967478. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ sells it for a ridiculous price of $35.

Which size did you get? I'm looking at 7 choices ranging from 2.5" inch inlet to 4". The one that comes with the Fujita CAI kit itself is F5-300S but that fits their CAI, will it fit the GMPP?
