I finally took a look under the hood and realized I have that stupid SAI hose thingy. I emailed turbotech and they said I have to get the 2.2L K&N intake since it's the only they sell with SAI. Any ideas what to do?

 

you can eventually get it tuned out, but you would need a new intake and a header without the SAI as well. so you could possibly just get a full exhaust and install the intake header and tune all at once and get rid of it? or you could just get the k&n

 

What does SAI do anyway? Do I NEED to have that hose hooked up untill I get the tune?

 

some people just put a small breather filter over it until they tune it out. you can get em at autozone for a few bucks, and ive heard of a lot of people doing it. all the sai does is pull fresh air into your exhaust gasses to help burn up the gasses better to help emissions.

 

Wait I think I got SAI confused up with the hose coming out of the intake. I found this pic on here (https://www.cobaltss.net/gallery/fil...1Image0004.JPG) I don't have the thing coming from where the arrow is pointing. I got SAI confused with the little hose coming out at the bottom. I feel stupid hahaha
