This is good price?

I live in Canada, so everything will be in Canadian standard. So i'm crusing around in my 03 Dodge SX 2.0 R/T today, and I say to myself, I really want a different car. So I go check out the Chevy dealership to see what they had. They didn't have anything I was interested in. So I went to the Ford dealership. I was there for about 10 minutes before I saw a 06 Cobalt SS. So I went to check it out. It was my buddies. So I asked the dealership dude if I could take it for a test drive. This thing only has 1500 KM's on it. I found it to be a smooth riding car. Better then my car. I asked the guy what he wants for it and he said $19500. Plus tax. The car is fully loaded too. The only flaw with it, is it has a little crack in the window. No biggie. I told them i'll trade my car for it. My car has around $9500 left for payments. My car has 18000 KM's on it. Not bad for something thats 3 years old, and it has never see snow. Has been taken well care of. So the guy said he'll give me $14500 for my car. So would the different in my payments left and what he'll give me for my car, can that be used for a down payment? Which is $5000. If thats the case, that would bring the Cobalt SS price down to $14500 plus tax. Thats $16385 with tax. And I will only have to pay a small intrest of 1.9%. My payments were around $300 a month. So is this a good deal or not? I wouldn't know cause i've never bought a car by myself before. My dad all the dealing with my SX.

It sounds like a good price to me. You have to know if you can afford that or not. I don't see why you couldn't though. Good luck with the decision.

$21195. Plus destination is $1045 so $22240, plus the opitions which is $25090 without tax. Thats everything but with no leather seats. And no auto.

When you look at it that way, it seems to be a good deal in my opinion.

So I went back to see about the Cobalt SS. I got approved and all that but, they wanted a co-signer still. And my dad didn't want to co-sign, because it's a GM vehicle. So yeah. Hopefully, i'll be able to get one next summer.

That sucks. Your dad wouldn't sign just because of the bowtie on the front??

Wow, that's gay. I used to be very anti-Chevy, but I gotta tell ya that I feel that they are starting to make much better vehicles. I was a mechanic for a few years before I went back to college, and I can tell you from first hand experience that EVERY vehicle on the road is junk (you know what I mean).
