Header and CEL

I am thinking about purchasing a CA v1 from someone on here in the forums and I've been wondering, will I or will I not get a CEL? Stock downpipe, CAI, and GMPP sport catback with Megan muffler are my current exhaust/intake mods. Thanks

you may. but what's the difference? there's no reason to be afraid of a cel.

id rather not have one since i visit the dealer more than probably anyone in the whole wide world, PLEASE dont give me the speech on the legal case of where the damage caused cant be caused by the exhaust and all that, yes i know. I just dont want a CEL plain and simple.

The header normaly does not casue the CEL, it is the Highflow car or lack of cat that does it.

i wasn't going to give a speach. get yourself a cheap code reader if you're worried about it. anything can give a cel at anytime. i had my mods on for almost a year, and randomly threw 4 codes last week.

that's the point i was trying to make. it doesn't suck. it's not like it makes the car run bad or something. people see a cel and start freaking out for some reason. codes you get from your exhaust parts, or intake or anything like that are fine to delete. as long as everything is installed properly, nothing bad will happen.

in all reality, if you really don't want a cel for whatever reason leave the car stock. because you're almost guaranteed to get one at some time or another if you are not stock.

ok, then all you have to do is get a code scanner and delete the codes. or you could have them turned off with hp tuners. when i got codes, they were on literally for the length of the drive they came on. then they went bye bye.
