the exhaust manifolds for the cobalts are the same. The ZZP will bolt up to the 2.4, but you might have to give one of the coolant lines a little twist.

Go with a 2.5" Downpipe with a highflow cat and the shorty header they offer.

+1 less you have plans of going boosted.. then go with the 3" dp with a 2.5 inch bolt up... then when you go boosted you can just replace that 2" section of 2.5 and have much better flow... if you're staying NA then you're good to go with a 2.5.. also what primaries are you looking at?

zzp looks like some good ****... once they come out with their new design i'm all over it

I have the Cobalt-Addiction Shorty Header and it's awesome, saw some pretty decent gains in the higher rpms, then you can go with a high flow xtc flex pipe.

I would seriously reconsider this... I had the zzp midlength combo w/ a 2.5" catback... it was LOUD as hell ALL THE TIME... I switched to a ZZP Shorty & stock DP & am much happier & quieter

And you may still throw codes if you have an intake + exhaust

it's personal preference... plus an extra resonator on the exhaust will quiet it down, i'm going for the quality , gains and price, me i want something louder and deeper and the zzp will provide that for me.. hell my friend has a vibrant combo and everyone raves about how loud that is.. and it really wasn't loud at all IMO plus exhaust leaks can cause mucho loudness... which was a common problem with the zzp stuff before because bolts were breaking however they fixed that problem

i think any dp will thats normal size but i'm not sure.. thats the biggest disadvantage of the combo only the dp in the combo will work or a custom dp

basically if you plan on staying NA according to them you should go for 1.5" primaries and a 2.5 " dp with high flow cat
