Headers & Downpipe

Hey guys I need your help. First of let me start by saying I'm not the smartest car guy so bare with me. I have an 06 2.4 auto with a gm performance exhaust. What is the best bang for your buck header and downpipe combo? I also dont want to have to play around to get it installed. Thanks

A lot of people are fans of a badmab header with a zzp downpipe because its fairly affordable and installation isnt too bad for the most part, others with a little more cash often like one of the long tube combos available.

Depends on what youre trying to put together. If youre not going to turbocharge or whatever, than you dont want to go above a 2.5" downpipe. Make sure you get one for an auto as well.

I dont have one yet, but I plan on going through zzp for my DP.

2.5" DP and i'd recommend catted, since you have a SS your stock exhaust manifold is already pretty free flowing and the GMPP catback is all the same size piping as well so your only real restriction is in the DP, i'd start there unless you really want a header as well and then i'd suggest a badmab

On my 08 2.4 auto I'm running a zzp shorty ( no longer made) a cti 3 inch reduced to 2.5 inch catted downpipe with an slp catback. Pulls a lot harder but its loud as hell.
