Help with P013f..

Just installed a Injen CAI earlier today and then tonight driving home I get a CEL, so I grab my Torque app and it reads P013f...

Type Powertrain - Fuel and Air Metering - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description O2 Sensor Delayed Response - Lean to Rich
Location Bank 1 Sensor 2

I didnt think intakes were suppose to throw codes.. OR is it because I installed the MPX Vibrant exhaust defouler.. to fix my P0420 code

Way to fix??

Post cat O2 simulator would be a possibility, that would get rid of the p0420, probably the P013f too. For about 10$ it's worth a try.

I have heard mixed reviews about the defouler, either they work or don't work.

Try: O2 Simulator & Tester GM 4 Wire (1996-2003)
Or : Making your own rear o2 bypass/simulator - DSM Forums

I have a defouler too, I have the same CEL and I erase it every week with the torque app. It sucks.
I tried putting some steel wool into the defouler and it didn't change anything.
CEL is coming back almost every time i'm doing a long downshift (like going into 2nd gear when you are at 35 mph).
It's definitly because of the 2nd o2. I have this problem since i'm running catless.

I think yes... That's why i'm going back to stock exhaust this summer. I dont want to put money on this car again for a tune. I'm saving for a ss/tc.

I just threw a bunch of dtcs on my Solstice after I installed my werks downpipe a few days ago. It came with that same O2 extender. I think its because the O2 sensor is too far out of the exhaust stream. I am getting P0139, P2271, P2196. Slow response, stuck rich. I cleared mine tonight and I will see if they come back...likely, then I will try a shorter defouler that I have sitting here, or this is a good time to get tuned.

Get rid of defouler, get proper tune; doing **** the right way is more expensive but it's the best way to do things...

Yes, running excessively lean will cause base engine issues.
The slow response code is more than likely due to the distance away from normal exhaust stream. The PCM is seeing the O2 levels but not seeing the recalculation in the afr changes is making fast enough.
A worn out O2 could be the reason why you didn't have the issue before, along with the addition of the intake.

Check to make sure you dont have a leak at your header. I threw my codes because my rtv burned out. Putting in a gasket tomorrow.

Might be, but I doubt it because I didn't get this code till after my defouler was installed, originally it was telling P0420 P0420 DTC: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
