Help: Want to hit 200hp.

What is the cheapest way possible to surpass 200hp? I want to free up exhaust flow but the last thing i want is a loud annoying exhaust, and I don't wanna get a tune just yet seeing as the only performance mod i have is a K&N Typhoon.

boost or nitrous, you will not get there without dropping a few thousand if u decide all motor.

I am going to concur with that. Theres no cheap huge hp gains...Specially if you dont tune.

You can do:
intake manifold
exhaust manifold
downpipe
cat back exhaust
intake
smaller pulleys or light weight pulleys
water or meth injection
nitrous

not much beyond that for NA thats cheap and makes big power.

I have an intake. do you have a link to what a pulley would cost or something?

light weight pulley
http://mrzperformance.vstore.ca/prod...roducts_id/144

underdrive
http://mrzperformance.vstore.ca/prod...roducts_id/143

I would do your own research to see what belt size is needed for a under drive pulley and if they are safe to run....

Search my friend. I've heard of people changing the underdrive pully (on an SC or TC), and it caused problems. So swear to it, while others say it will cause more problems. Do some research and i'm sure you can find your answers.

as someone said

Slow down and do a lot of research. Do you want to invest thousand in the motor or do you want cheaper power. Because a turbo/supercharger are the cheapest route to big power.

Besides nitrous of course, but even then, you risk snapping rods and burning up pistons.

The cheapest way would be to get ZZP stage one turbo kit for $1999. That alone with set you around 230hp.

I know when I had my car, a Injen intake, ported TB, cobalt addiction header and highflow cat and a2.5 magnaflow exhaust and my tune I laid down #186 HP on a mustang dyno... with a little head work I know my old car would have put two hundred down no problem

#200 is doable but you just have to piece your build together and get a good tune

IMHO , if you want to do anything to the LE5 a tune is a requirement..... because even with just an intake I logged several LE5's at well over 100% IDC's....... not saying you can't get away with out a tune, but with trifrectica and HPT out there you have options.

Well Op said cheapest way possible... not cheapest without boost. Looks to me like you either spend 2G's on boost or spend about the same on all the little upgrades listed above^^ comes out bout same spent
