I'm So Angry...

I started my downpipe installation at 10 this morning. Here I am and the downpipe still isn't done. I haven't even gotten the stock downpipe off the stock header. I've gotten two out of three bolts off the stock header connected to the downpipe and one is stuck on. I have a final and have to go to class and will finish the installation when I finish. On the way to class, I'll be running an open downpipe. I have no choice. I didn't think it would take this long, but it has. Anyone have any suggestions to get the last bolt loose off the stock header connected to the downpipe? I've sprayed WD-40 on it and tried every angle. If it helps, it's the bolt on the lower driver side.

Start the car and let it run for a while. The heat from the exhaust should heat it up enough to help it get freed up.

I used it to get my downpipe off. It penetrates into the nut and makes it a hell of a lot easier to take off.

How much are air tools? Just curious, 'cause I tend to just slide across the floor sometimes haha

Gotta get EEZE too haha. Where? Pepboys? Wal-mart?

Don't use WD-40... use PB Blaster. Connect your socket and get a cheater bar. Nothing can stop a cheater bar.

Agreed! But a cheater might be hard with it still on the car.

all these suggestions require driving to a store, locating products, and testing which ones work...

The first tool ever used was a big ass stick. Why? When it comes down to it beating the holy #$%!@% out of it does the job.

No... I used one when I did my DP. You obviously can't have a 3 ft long cheater bar... but a good 6-12" can help out a ton.

That, or go to Lowe's and buy a LONG breaker bar. The longer the bar... the less effort it requires out of you.
