Im so excited!!!!

Today i did my first mod. I ordered the the gm air intake at the discounted price of $250, since my dad works for GM. It was retailed at $325. Well i got it and put it on that night. Im proud of myself. I know u guys could do this in your sleep by now but this is my first mod. It sounds great. Its much more agressive sounding. O and it increases gas mileage. NOTTT. If not lose any. Who cares it sounds amazing with a good HP gain. Plus no worries with voided warranty. Ill post pics once it stops raining. Next project: In-dash player and GM performance exhaust.

congrats, not a bad buy, but like i still say dont ever worry about voiding a warrenty unless the aftermarket part is what caused it. Dealers just like to **** with you on that.

Good work! Congrats on your first mod. We all had to start somewhere, and that's a good one to start with. No one should give you grief for being a newbie since you are willing to learn and do.

Good luck on your next mod! And the next! And...

(No, once you start it becomes a lifetime of fun! Take it from The Old Guy).

Tighten them until you can't move them, and the rubber tubing below them is slightly indented. If the tubes being held by a clamp cannot be rotated or pulled apart, they're tight enough.

You can probably tighten them until they deform the plastic tubing, which is definitely too tight.
