Intake on auto car

Hey guys, might be a stupid question, but im gonna ask anyways. I have an auto cobalt ss and was wondering if getting the AEM cold air intake for the 2.2l will first work on an auto car and give a nice hp gain (around what range?) and if the Intake for a 2006 cobalt 2.2l will work on my 2007 cobalt 2.4l ss? Thanks, Josh.

Im sure you can, and im sure its not a hard question, I guess i'll just do research but I figured id have a faster answer by posting here.... ohwell.

auto or manual, doesn't matter. 2.2 and 2.4 intakes are interchangeable.

and like fsickness said 3~5 at best.

unless you put the decal on that comes with the intake.....then you'll get like 15HP.

The GMPP intake gives almost 10 WHP on the dyno. Of course, you have to install a scoop and make it "ram air." See the links in my sig for the install, and the dyno sheets.

Oh, and my car is a 2.4 auto.

Actually, they increase quarter mile top speed. Properly placed, the thin edge of the stickers create micro-turbulance on the body surface, which reduces form drag and increases speed.

and if you believe that, I have a hair drier that will give 15 PSI boost!
