2.2L and 2.4L share the same intake. Any 2.2L intake should fit your 2.4L.

TTR,
Thank you for clearing that up I've been talking to AEM and they are like I said that they told me that they were redesigning the 2.4 intake or it will more than likely throw a code my car was at AEM and it was throwing codes and even went in to the limp mode on them I looked up and companies aren't really announcing the 2.4 intake other vendoes are the ones that say that they will fit. I've called and inquired at about three companies and they say they are in testing thats why I put my car on the R&D list for AEM or K&N and I'm just waiting for them to contact me and AEM is pretty close K&N hasn't set up my appointment date like I said before first come first served to use my car..

The 2.2/2.4L intakes has never caused a CEL in relation to the Injen intake. Atleast not that we know of.

Just to update I ended up buying one from Summit Racing, should be picking it up from ND on Friday.

Also, as far as intakes go I ended up going with the Injen from Turbo Tech Racing. Their price as well as free ground shipping within the States can't be beat and Aaron really went out of his way to help get it shipped to my parcel service in the states. TTR is teh roxxxorz!!!1

What are the ones specifically made for the 2.4L? I couldn't find any the other day. And I don't want to buy one for the 2.2L that will possibly turn on my CEL. I'm one of those people that have to have things just right.

I didn't throw a cel with my injen if that helps.

I think there is a weapon R intake designed specifically for the 2.4. Not sure though.

Designed for the 2.2L = designed for the 2.4L. They have the same intake positioning. Even if it's designed specifically for the 2.4L, you run the risk of throwing a CEL simply because you're allowing more air to enter.

Ok, thanks. So are you saying even though it will work just fine, because of the part itself it may still throw a CEL? Does that even happen to the people with 2.2's or whatever engine the intake is designed for?

For you 2.4 people here is the e-mail I got from AEM and the redesign of the 2.4 intake. So now people will know that is is a hit or miss situation about the 2.4 throwing the cell when AEM had my car as I posted before it went as far as going into limp mode.

Hey Fred,
We have the prototype pipe in our possession now. And we will be
making
a brand new intake with correct fuel trims. The kit should be ready to
ship in a 3 weeks. As for the other intake system I will be getting\Thanks,6

So does that mean they are going to start selling them soon also? Because if AEM is going to make a specific 2.4L CAI, I'd rather wait and buy one of those.....

it is either they are going to produce it in a few weeks for sale or they are going to call me back in as their other test car. Most companies will use 2 or 3 cars before putting it out on the market. But I would wait only for the fact that it will be specific for the 2.4 not just someone selling you a 2.2 intake for sales. I have a 2.2 intake in my trunk that was on my 2.2 and I wont even try to put it on my 2.4 only because so many people saying that it would throw a cell and most of all AEM used my car and I'm going to believe them and not waste my time. Also try goin to company sites and see how many companies are showing a 2.4 intake the companies don't show much it's the vendors that are selling 2.2/2.4 as the same intake all over the internet
