JBP works on a "core exchange system". This eliminates core charges. We ship you your replacement engine, upon receipt of your old engine. If this does not fit your schedule or your preference. Please contact JBP to purchase "out-right" a core and to find out more information concerning this procedure.

If you got the money. JBP stuff is superior, but their customer support sucks *****. It say allow 1-2 months to build. More like 1-2 months looking at the crate, 1 week to open the crate, 2 weeks of vaction, 1 week to look at the engine out of the crate, 2 weeks to pull of the head off, 1 week to figure out it is a L61 and not a LE5. 3 weeks to get LE5 engine. 1 week to pull head off. 2~3 months to finish. 6~8 months.

The key word in the engine description is CAPABLE you still have to do everything else to it. ie bigger blower or turbo, n2o a tune. All they do is build you a bottom end that an handle that HP. I also do not see anything about head or valve train work. Like Cams, springs, or valve's.

This I know but that is not what the OP asked. Posts in the thread when on to ask if it made the 300HP. My answer was no it is a short block CAPABLE of handling 300HP with the proper supporting mods and bolt ons. Yes you can buy them from JBP but they do not come with the short block.
