I was wondering if anybody knows if the engins that they sell on there site is a complete motor ready to drop in, or is it a short block or the parts that you need to build your own motor...

motor wise yes its a complete block with all the internals. But things like the electric steering pump, water pump, coilpacks, all that stuff you still need to get yourself

do yourself a favor and dont get it. you have no idea the amount of issues victory_red_ss has had with the engine(s)-yes he has had to pull the engine 3 or 4 times already. one threw a rod out the side of the block. the others had issues which i dont remember right now. it has been a nightmare for his car

i am letting people know what these companies are doing. victory red had a built bottom end just like they are offering for the LE5. this was his daily driver engine(not his race car). it has had multiple problems and he still has not been able to get it to run right.

06noscobaltss has the stage2(+1) head and has been running it for a long time now. he's pushing 440whp with no problems.

jbp is not a bad vendor. just because people on here haven't bought their wild engine to give feedback doesn't mean no one has bought it. i've sent multiple emails back and forth with them asking alllll kinds of questions. from what i need to get this part to work all the way to how its made.

they just happened to be the vendor vicred chose for his build(that is a first, DD and race car) and yeah....they ran in to problems. doesn't mean its their fault.

personally bbow though, if their price wasn't so crazy for the engine...i would buy it. so i'm going to build my own bottom end but i'll be using their stage3(+2) head and other parts like intake, exhaust, stuff like that.

Well if you look at a replacement motor from gm it is about the same cost as a mild engine from JBP. Im still confused is it a long block or a short block. If I was to do this I would have to swap the engine over the weekend. This is my daily driver with no other vehicle...

longblock means it has cylinder head and all that on it. short block is just the rotating assembly(i.e. bottom end)

Do yourself a favor and please don't buy a JBP motor.
