Just Out Of Curiosity..

How does the 2.4 change between the 2.4 Cobalt, 2.4 Ion, 2.4 HHR, and the 2.4 new Malibu..? I know they change things between models sometimes and I just wondered how they did it.. I thought that adding an M92 to the new Mali would be insane..

I wasn't sure if it was like the old days when you had a 305 in different cars, but it was tuned differently for different vehicles.. I've driven all of them and they all felt about the same.. Sucks though how the intake is totally different for the HHR and the Malibu than for the G5/Cobalt/Ion.. A fully built Malibu would be sweet.. I wonder if anyone is working on one..?

I'll let you know when it goes down then...

But yes, i plan to have my header and DP w/cat by then... I want those before I try that out. I was gonna ask Illmatic3s to do the road tune for me. But I'd like a dyno tune as well, I want to see my numbers

I was talking with Joe (BennyHHR) while he was tuning my car with HP Tuners. The engine is the same, but he mentioned the final drive gear was different on the HHR 5-speeds, and I also believe the ECM's have some different tweaks in the stock tune here and there.

The different vehicle platforms use different final drives and different tunes based on vehicle type and weight. But the engine itself is the same.

I think he means m90 supercharger. IIRC that's a bit too large for a 2.4L, the m62 would be the one to go with.

Its a bit large to fit and by the time you calculated how fast the blower is spinning compared to the M62, there are no desirable advantages to it over the M62.

Besides the obvious mounting flange difference, in what way is an M92 "too big" for an LE5? That seems analogous to sayin you should only run a GT28 turbo because the GT30 is too big.

It won't fit between the radiator support and the intake manifold is what I think he means.
