Exactly what the person above you said, the parasitic loss of running the bigger blower negates what little gains you'd see. LOTS of people have already done the calculations. Superchargers are a little different than turbos since you have to drain power to make power, hence why there are different blowers for different sized motors.

So I have a question
Is there any difference in the engine components between the LE5 in the cobalts, and the pontiac and saturn roadsters?
I'm wondering how the LE5 holds up with a turbo or a supercharger in the long run, say 100,000 miles or so.

No, all the internals are the same.
