LSJ Throttle Body Swap

I'm looking for a LSJ Throttle Body I can buy, used (clean and working) or new. Does anyone have one laying around they would sell or like to trade for my stock LE5 Throttle Body? Also is there a how-to guide on this, and should I buy a 6-8 pin convertor for this? Also, is the adapted plate actually worth the money?

The lsj tb is 8 pin and you will need the adapter plate.

I wish I knew people who could do that. I spent 229 on a lsj throttle body+ adapter plate from zzp.
And what was bull crap is zzp said the tb was brand new and they sent me a used one.

that's what I'm worried about. I can get a used one in good condition for around $50 and I can find the harness and adapter plate a lot cheaper.

I take it I'll have to get a tune, right?

The link I found for a picture of the adapter plate comes from eBay:

2005 2012 Chevy Cobalt LE5 2 2L 2 4L Upgraded LSJ Throttle Body Upgrade Kit | eBay

Also, does anyone have the wiring diagram for the 6-pin to 8-pin harness? I'd feel comfortable wiring this myself and insulating it, if I knew which wires I had to combine.

Buying one used, in good condition is also another option for me. I can get one for $40 shipped from another member, but all I really need is assurance that it's going to be in good working condition /:

my car didn't like the lsj throttle body.... If I floor it from a stand still it would fall flat on its ass and choke on way to much air I'm assuming. Then I put my stock tb back on and no more falling flat on its ass and nothing but burning tires lol....

Not always. My Trifecta was way overly aggressive, I think that's just a general feeling of the LNF owners.

I hear that from alot of people but its not my opinion since I haven't had both. I'm just basing it off of what people have told me.

lol, you do know hp and trifecta is just tunning software right? The person tunning it is what makes the tune aggressive or not.

I did the Swap, as well as Noor, and chevy girl.

I did mine for about $135.

TB was $50 shipped, Plate was $70 shipped and $15 for the wiring adapter. my car was already 8 pin, but the wires are not pined out the same. and i believe your car should be 8 pin as well.

i would suggest this kit adn that used TB you can get for $40.

ZZPerformance - LE5 Throttlebody Adapter Plate #ZZ-LE5-TBAP

would be 160 ish out the door, which isnt bad.

secondly you do not need a tune to run this TB, the car will run and operate fine.

Check a local junkyard. Most will replace for free if it fails within warranty period.

I've been having a lot of people tell me my car will go into limp mode. My Trifecta dealer said I will need a retune, and if I remember correctly, he said minor retunes are free.

that is correct, not sure if will go into limp mode but I'm sure it will run like **** without a retune. As for minor retunes being free that is correct. I'm a trifecta dealer for San Antonio
