Just need to get the hhr up and running. Dropped the engine in this morning. Should be done by tomorrow at the latest. Then I am waiting for the color and package I want to pop up for sale within a reasonable driving distance. If I get an lnf, I'll sell the assembled/cammed head for cheap, but I really think I'll be picking up an le5 and that head will be on the same week lol.

Boy oh boy, after sitting in customs for 5 days due to a wrong phone # written on the bill by zzp it has now sat in town all weekend due to the wrong phone # written on the bill. So over 1 week WASTED, due to 'other peoples ****-ups'

Makes me wish they had some real competition willing to work a little harder for my $$$.

Don't be, I started this Easter weekend as a 'weekend project'...way more time and money wasted than I even planned to expend. And she still ain't over yet, this girl better run like a top or I'll finally put my manifesto into action.

You can see the plug where ZZP poured the aluminum slurry into the upper portion of the block.

7 hours yesterday, 5 today and no helper just me. Block is in, everything is attached except the CAI. Out of time and out of gas due to heat, gotta work my 3-12s starting Friday and back at it Monday.

Cool man. I also got the engine swapped over my self this time around. Easy after you're familiar with this sh*t like us LOL.

Traded the HHR in a few days ago right after it was back to stock.

I decided not to f*ck around with an LE5 Solstice so I got the GXP. Modding was just stressing me out. Found a Solstice GXP an hour away with 4400 miles on it. Mint car, didn't want to pass it up. Still have over a year of factory warranty so I'm not going to molest this car till the warranty is up. Actually thinking of just getting the GMS kit installed when I sell some of my sh*t. Car is a little slower than the HHR was, but dead hooking 1st gear is absolutely great. After the GMS it should be quicker.

On a side note...this is my first ever turbo experience(and rear drive) and now I understand lag. It seriously takes an eternity for power(compared to the SC), but then it comes on strong. That initial punch of power from the SC(and the noise) is certainly missed.

All my parts are up for grabs so if you want anything just lmk.

Meth kit is for sale its pretty much brand new. Seriously only pumped about 1 gallon. Kit is complete, though you may need some electrical connectors, or just solder the few things you need. Comes with a 7gph and 10gph nozzle and instructions(which suck). I paid 487.99 for it. Yours for $320 shipped. PM if you want some pics, I can txt you some.

Yes very very interested. Please let me get this girl fired up so I can breath a big huge sigh of relief and buy your meth kit.

And congrats on the Solstice, the end of the SC build off between us lol. I guess we know who the smart one and the stubborn one is.

LOL NP

I just sold my assembled head to a guy doing a nice LE5 HHR SC build. Moved it fast cause I priced it to go: $600 and were close enough to just hand it off.

I will hold onto the meth kit for a bit for you.

You must be very close to turning the key?

Hey guys, I have a random question for either of you. I thought I remembered someone wiring their wideband output wire for tuning into an AC control wire so you don't need the Pro version of HPT to log with a wideband. Has anyone heard/ know how to do this? Thanks!

And the weather held, super grey all day long and felt like it was gonna pour but God played nice with me.

Phew.

Started up first try, NO CODES. haha. well, threw a couple P0300s but wtf something was bound to go right and she sounds very healthy.

Wouldn`t shift out of first, trace3d it back to VSS on tranny with a frayed wire. fixed. WB isn`t reading, tomorrows task.

Put my zzp nbs up for sale, will pay the proceeds to you freek and add the extra so that meth kit is mine

Really noticed the camber bolts, turn in was much more planted. great $25 mod.

ATF fluid change and tire rotation with alignment hopefully tomorrow as well and god willing the ATI will get pressed on this week too. I`d like it 100% done by thursday.

man I`m tired.

That's awesome man, congrats!

Which camber bolts did you go with? Let me know how you like them, I've heard some have problems with spinning but hopefully yours work well!

Sweet!

Tired yeah I am tired too. I am still recovering from a week straight of demodding the HHR. Back is not good this week! On top of 45h work week I got another 20-25 of wrenching last week. Glad to be done.

Spoke with Tom @ CED and we set up an apt to have the GM stage kit installed

Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit 19212670HK

I hope that makes it fast man because the HHR definitely pulled harder. Not even going to think about hooking up my laptop to start tuning this car. Just going to ride out the warranty with the gm tune. Considering the gm or k&n intake to make it sound nice, but thats about it.

Rockauto sent me 1 Raybestos and 1 Ac Delco lol, but they both do a max of -1.75 camber.

tom @ ced is a very good man, always a pleasure dealing with him.

K so the Sol is faster. NLS is *****. I am happy. Super effing quiet though. I have hit the limiter a couple times because I don't have the feeling of what the rpms are unless I am looking at the tach. Also I am used to being able to rev out to 7600 and now cut off is 6500rpms.

How are things going with the new block? Get on it yet?

Hows that lag now?

I'm quite happy here, ZZP built me a winner. Smoked the first 5 minutes, hasn't smoked since. My tuning skills eroded, having to relearn from scratch really. finally got pissed and just added 15% across the board on the MAF transfer table, for a rough toon she purrs quite nicely. currently working towards an open loop WB MAF tune, them timing.

$75 short of paying you, should have it all by friday lol, been reduced to one of those 'broke ass' I'll pay you on payday arseholes.

ATI damper is being pressed on wednesday, meth kit after that and i'm done for 2012.

2013 is suspension (YYZ springs and Konis, rear powell bar) and ZZP tranny.

Life is good again!

Awesome man!

Hey are you sporting a sway bar at all? I have a TTR bar. $50 shipped. Little nicked up from moving it around, but not bashed or bent at all. Very noticeable upgrade. Probably a wash with shipping for me but, you can put it to good use. Its stiff enough to give you a bit of over-steer at times...ask me how I know. lol Though powell bar would be ballls(can't believe some of the bleeps on this site) gonna start adding letters to everything(meant NLS is ballls) Lag still sucks...but learning to drive it...used to bringing rpms up to 3k and going wot with the SC...if I do that with the turbo I really miss the sweet spot...finding myself going wot at about 2k so I am at peak boost by 3k.
