Do you have the original muffler that came off it? If so, do some measuring for an idea of what will fit.

VA law states that the exhaust should be no louder than stock. OUCH!! Still getting mine on Wednesday...hehehe.....you think cops scout out this site???? SO yeah anything louder than stock is illeagal...BUT there is no specifically stated db level....so should be pretty easy to win out in court (but who wants to go there right?). Plus Im sure as long as you are playing it smart you arent going to get pulled in the first place.

I was pulled over by PA State Police a few weeks ago for speeding. He also yelled at me for my exhaust. He told me anything other than stock or a stock replacement is illegal in PA. He said my exhaust is what caught his attention... so he paced me and pulled me over.

Now he ended up not writing me up for the exhaust. He actually said they don't usually pull people over for that alone (State Police... not locals). But they will use it as an excuse to pull you over if you look suspicious or intoxicated. I haven't really checked the laws myself, but if he wasn't BSing me, anything other than stock is illegal in PA as well.

As for your sound problems, I agree with the "twin loop" muffler idea...

Yes, to some extent, but the brand/type has much more to do with sound quality and volume than selection within the range from the same manufacturer.
