New Dyno Numbers

Well some of the local J-body guys had a dyno day at VMP tuning here in Orlando. I have not gotten a chance to scan the dyno yet but I will post up the numbers anyways. I got two runs, the frist one had a basic tune that was not diled in at all just on there. and that put down 160.71 HP/ 151.88 TQ with the temp in the shop at 100.74 F*

The second wun which was the better run where a made a few tweaks to the tune. I put down 164.04 HP / 157.92 TQ with the temp in the shop at 101 F*. Oh yeah my A/F was dead on at 13.2 while at WOT.

I know that I can put down better numbers when it cools off some. I am still going to go back to the same dyno where I got my baseline sumbers to compare all this too. So these are just some numbers to throw out

25 veiws and not one reply, you guys just dont like Ion's. My feeling are hurt

nice numbers

so let me get this straight, performance mods wise u have
-ported tb
-intake
-exhaust
-header
-catback
-downpipe
-tune
and that gave a roughly 20whp gain over stock. Im guessing u were on 91 octane during these runs? Im also guessing ur car is a 5spd?

I don't want to disappoint you but the heat killed your dyno runs. With just and intake and Vector tune I laid down 168 WHP. I dyno'd in like 70 degree weather though.

damn, not bad. Im gonna get the Vector ECM tune in early August. How are the Vector folks? Also, can then shut off my rear O2 sensor w/ the tune? With my mods im shooting for about at least 180whp. I have the AEM CAI, CA header, CA de-cat 2.5" downpipe and an ARK N2 cat-back, and with the tune I think thats a reasonable goal.

I do know my numbers are low, but thats really only because of the heat. I just got off the highway and with in five minutes up on the dyno in a shop where the temps where over 100*
These where done all in good fun because off the dyno day.

Yeah they are really good group of guys. Tell them your mods and they'll flash for them. Basically all the flashes are the same unless you have long tube headers in which case they richen it up a tad but not much. I am sure they can shut off the secondary O2.

and the way i was talking was crazy gamer talk, I was using it to emphasize the craziness of the statemen: it said (for those who didn't understand) OMG you must of blew your pistons or taken your blower off. haha don't as my roommate in college was crazy and rubbed off a bit on me...

Its the nickname for the eaton supercharger in the redlines and cobalt ss/sc.

Because the eaton produces so much heat, so hence the name Heaton.

Yeah I drove by race related this weekend while I was at Sunshine 1/8 mile dragstrip. But no shops have really ever seen an LE5 before, so I will play with the tune myself slowly.
