Nice intake.

It doesn't have to be a show car for you to take pride in the under hood apperence of the car. Hell some spray paint would be a 110% improvement for that valve cover.

meh i don't want to tape off everything and sand everything down, for something that will flake off in a month or two.

Nice, I had the K&N on my old 2.4 and gave it a new home on my cousin's G5 GT. Way louder and I found throttle response better on the auto.

sorry i missed this earlier, i got mine from TTR but i am not sure if you can just order the heat shield or not.

Yeah i put some APC on the valve cover ( i touched it and saw it was "dirty) but the only way i am going to do anything to it is when i have to remove it for something. I may look into a heavy duty metal cleaner and see if i can at least make it look better.

But back on topic the intake is insane, the VVT kicks in harder it seems on mine now. down low i didn't really notice anything and throttle response is about the same. but when i am rolling the power feels much better. The K&N dyno chart seems right, now i am not saying i got 15whp but the power change was def. topend.

Yeah, I never noticed the VVT kick before the intake. Now, it feels awesome.

The elbow coming off the throttle body looks great. the Gmpp elbow coming off the throttle body looks like garbage, the plastic piece of **** has such a horrible bend in it that I'm sure I could gain some more power by getting a K&N SRI. I don't even think of it as an elbow, but just an adapter = horrible air flow.

the bend isnt that bad on the GMPP IMHO,

if any thing it appears to have more straight of a path then the K&N
