noob question

I feel really dumb for asking this but I'm just curious as to what gears "I" and "L" do on my sport auto. I'm pretty sure L is a low gear. Correct? What is I? Please don't flame me, just trying to learn.

the b&m shift plus? well it just recalabrates your auto to shift harder and quicker. You can add at any time, does not require mods to use. but will void warranty if dealer finds it so becarful

youll never really need to shift into those gears less you live in the mountain and and dont want your car constanly shift up and down, put in intermediate it lock it into 2/3 no up shift less you red line it. other than than racing kinda you can put it in first which turns traction control of for a good launch then you can choose to hold the shifts a tad longer by maunualy puting threw the gears rather than let the computer choose. notice*(only a tad longer a second or less at that)*

That would have been nice...but GM would have to change the valve body and reflash the TCM. This auto doesn't let you decide shift points..it shifts at prescribed RPMs regardless of where you put the shift lever. Even when you have it in "L" if you are floored and shift up into "I" at 5000 RPM it will take it to redline before it shifts.
