Oil change

Ill be doing a oil change soon, what oil is preferred to be used in 2.4L's?

Also when should i be changing my tranny oil? Iam at around 6800KM's on my cobalt atm.

i use royal purlpe.
change the tranny oil every 30,000 miles to 35,000 miles

Basically, use 5w30 Full Synthetic.

But I use Royal Purple. Although it is a bit more costly (can cost about $9 a qrt), its worth it.

You didn't specify the transmission, but if it's a 5 speed then you should never have to change the fluid.

I personally use 5W30 Mobil 1.

i use 5w30 mobil 1 and its a big difference from the one that comes stock in your vehicle
