so i'm suppossed to go under my car and wash the exhaust or take it through a car wash, just to wash it??? that right there shows you how bad it is...no other exhaust I've ever had rusted or had to clean the whole damn thing...including the magnaflow I had for 6 years and the custom one I had for 4 years, on my first car...

ALMOST all the black paint on it? should it not have ALL the black paint left? lol

 

you should keep ANY exaust clean, so the answer is yes... not sit there with a scrub brush and soap, but just keep the **** off of it... the paint came off for a few inches right around the cat converter... other than that, it's not bad... and i've seen many stainless exhaust pics that have been on just as long that were in worse shape...

i know people talk **** about this exhaust, i've never heard of one rusting on a cobalt, or recently at all for that matter... it's always on the old cars, or a few years back... mine's holding up better than the stock exhaust did, and for a third of the price of some of the others, better than stock is good for me

 

In my opinion it's not worth the risk. But that's just me do what you want.
