you wont mess up your air bags...they arent on the actuall pillar plastic! it looks like a thick wire that runs along the actuall A-Pillar itself...the plastic wont mess it up at all, just might hurt a lil more if it ever does go off

eh...you win some you lose some! lol...thats the danger with having them there, and honestly with a 2 pod pillar the gauges are far enough away that i doubt they would ever come close...but with a 3 i could see cause for concern! either way, you take the good with the bad...theres no way aroud that...

Take a look at the A-Pillar pod and guages I just installed this last weekend.

I dont have side curtain air bags but even if you do you can see that the air bag would push the pod to your right and forward away from you and to the windsheild. The bag is only in the roof by your head and not the A-Pillar.

The pillar does actually fit quite nice excepting for a couple things because I am a perfectionist. It is a little longer than the stock one, but I did not try to cut it down because I did not want to ruin the painted finish. The supplied faster could have been a bit more thought out instead of a semi counter sunk hole and a counter sinking wood screw that when you put the little cap on the top you can still see the head of the crew and it looks like it has a sombrero on it. The color matched color, if you go for that option is not quite right, as it should be grey and not tan.

I just installed a SS/SC A pillar into mine and had to cut the big white plastic pieces that stick out so it would fit but it looks like factory. I had my battery disconnected while doing this and nothing is messed up.
