Nope, Ecotec is always working, doesn't kick in at any particular RPM.

The SS/SCs don't really have TQ Mgt as aggressive as the 2.4s but yes it can be tuned out. I have tuned the 05-07s and they all pretty much tune the same. The 05's do have a couple different tables.

you can raise the limits to a thoertical "highest" value per gear, and per throttle position.

Psykostevo: Direct question... Having had the opportunity to scan one of your LE5 "toons", why does the Commanded AFR hit in the 9's on a hard pull??
The simple answer to that 14 month old problem is that the flow tables at that time were being calculated off of provided information that the injectors at hnd were 34# and that was not the case. I had based the fuel tables off of the difference of what I was told was 24# and 34#, and errors resulted in the fueling as a result. As for the commanded AFR, it was never set below 12.1 so I don't know what you saw when you say 9's.

And the reaction does have a part to do with a torque table and timing table, and if the stock delay is set to ~8,000rpms then why does it kick in at 4,000rpms? And why does the timing table have a magical dip right at the ~3,750-4,250 rpm range? And why are there tables limiting torque at below 3 or 4k rpms?

Take your disrespect and shove it up your ass. If you ever made a mistake you'd never let yourself live it down. You must do everything right the first time. I took a step forward to help the 2.4L owners at a time when noone else was working with them and I presented them with some hope, some solutions, and a place to start. You can sit back and criticize from behind your shadows, but I am out there helping these people every day and trying to build this community into something worth logging into everyday.

Go be a comment sniper in another forum where people play by those shallow rules.

*edit* And also some people passed those files around without asking my permission or asking what they were to be used with so they put tunes on their cars for the wrong injectors, and for cars with and without CATs. That would be their fault if that were the case. Any other problems caused to people that I intended them to be used on were my fault, and not very frequent. There were a few people out there who asked for the tunes, yet a lot more people out there who are using them thanks to people like DOC and other tuners who couldn't wait to get their hands on them. As most people know, I tune each car independently and treat each person different. I only send out generic files or recycles when people ask for some info, or don't provide details.

actually your starter should kick your ecotec into working around 800rpm... then that little peddle thing on right side of the floor makes it go faster.
