Possible start malfunction?

The passed couple days I've noticed when I press in my clutch to start my car, I hear 1 click. As if my starter isn't working anymore. But if I cycle my ignition and my clutch a few times it will start up no problem? Any ideas on what my problem could be? Anyone had something like this happen?

Thanks

So you're saying you press the clutch in, try to start it, and it just clicks..... cycle key a couple times, and it'll fire right up?

Yeah. I'll turn the key to off and back to on and try to start it a couple times. Then if that doesn't work I'll cycle the key while pressing the clutch in and out then after a few tries it will turn over and start without any hesitation.

Next time it doesn't start, have someone hit the starter with a hammer or something while you try cranking it.
