ppl with zzp turbo setup

im gettin my turbo kit tuesday night and bringing all my tools home from work tuesday im a B level tech at a local shop out here and ive been doin it for 5yrs im just wondering how hard is the install and how the oiling system for the turbo works on it and such

No one ?

It should be easy. That kit should bolt right up. Ive personally have never turbo'd a car but i have been around it. Expect a few minor problems but all in all it should be easy. With the oil drain/feed you will have to drill and tap the oil pan for the return line and the feed line (I know for the lsj and most likely the 2.4) will use an existing plug with a new fitting for the feed line. hardest part is the oil lines. everything else is just time consuming.

There sayin to remove the oil pan and weld a bung on I'm just wondering how everyone else does it cus I don't have a tig welder to weld aluminum

You dont need to weld it, im sure you need to remove the oil pan though, but only should have to drill and tap it for threads.

Yes the Hahn no tap, and the zzp kit is like setting up the front mount on an SS/SC with there water to air

So I guess Ima have to drop the pan and have it welded up can u get the pan out without droping the subframe ?

i took mine in and got it welded, and capped. so when i installed the lines i just removed it and went.

lol u dont have to drop the frame lol. taking the pan off is like a 10 min job if the car is cool

yes.. mine was stripped for some odd reason and wouldnt come out. so i used the side of the head like the cavy owners do. i'll eventually use the back if i do a rebuild. i haven't had any issue with it so far though.

in the process of doin the turbo install buttt ofcourse the damn map that zzp sent me in no way shape or form fits at all connectors are completly diffrent everything so im wondering will the stock map work for 10psi
