question
i have this theory that if you take it out, you will be able to let some more cool air get to your intake. I left mine in but my car heatsoaks so damn easy so im going to rip that bitch out and see if it helps at all.
BTW i got the K&N typhoon, love the intake, but not the heatsoaking

you get it in stop and go traffic. Because the filter sits right in the engine bay, it will start sucking in hot air after you have driven in stop and go for awhile. So when you go to take off, your engine feels sluggush because it pulled back timing. Goes after 20 seconds of driving normal and get into open air.
Can get annoying though
