-here's teh situation. I have an 07 2.4l with k&n typhoon intake, just got some 2.0l injectors and a tune. been thinking about throwing a superharger into it. well, been thinking about it, talking to my friend with a impreza wrx 06'. and he's a pretty well off kid, soo he has completely redone his engine and tranny, and put a new turbo into the car. I mentioned something about his stock turbo, and he said he still had it and i could come pick it up and the stock intercooler. I'm gonna go pcik it up (FREE) im lucky. but anyways. to business:

Will it work?? and how much am i looking at.

I'm going to need piping, prolly a different intercooler, and a new exhaust manifold, and i prolly need new exhaust while im at it.

you will need his turbo and depending on what style it is, youll need an exhaust manifold (ebay) youll need pipes fabricated and a front mount intercooler(his top mount wouldnt work right), youll need 42# injectors and 1-2 step colder plugs, exhaust isnt a must but would help. you could probably get 250 @ the wheels but tuning is proving to be the biggest pain in the ass right now.

 

can u still drive ur car right now...because tuning cant be done ???

 

yeah, the car is driving fine but i have the wastegate wide open to prevent going into boost too much even though it still sees boost. im working on a tuning project right now, should be up and running perfect in about 3 weeks.

 

dude, all you have is a turbo , you still need a lot of stuff to make it work.
intercooler,
Piping, (Lots of fabrication)
Injectors,
Tune,
And most important Exhaust manifold for the turbo.
