removing plastic

is it safe for me to remove all the plastic in the engine compartment - i am only worried about the wires that are attached to the intake (is it safe to disconnect them)

are there any steps i should know about before removing the plastic

are there any plastic parts i SHOULDNT remove?

yea if i am right do not remove the wire on the intake--i think its your maf sensor wire--,which is critical for your car to run right...the most i would take off concerning engine plastic would be the huge ass piece covering the valve cover

you shouldn't have to remove any wires to take the plastic off... take out the dipstick, (you don't have to but i broke mine taking the engine cover off) and take off the oil cap or it wont come off... there's only 2 rods holding it in, pull gently in the back left corner and the front right corner and it will snap right off... you may have to pull a little bit the first time... the black one in front of the engine cover to the left bottom side is your airbox, you can't take that off... it's not a cover... i wouldn't take off the fuse cover

the only "plastic" part you can take off is the big engine cover that says "Ecotec" on it... just unscrew your oil cap and pull... it sits on two rods and it'll come right off.

the front plastic piece is part of the stock air intake assembly... you'll have to get a aftermarket intake to get rid of that.
