Safe?

Is it safe to turbo or supercharge an automatic? Will the transmission handle it?

There are some running turbo and supercharged setups on their auto cars without problems, but building it up would be ideal.

For a moderate increase in power, it's better to use an automatic than a manual, I think.

auto still has more drivetrain loss .

sorry but 8-10 psi on a stock na motor is not a small upgrade. An intake is a small upgrade, not boost.

The auto being tuned has nothing to due with the drivetrain loss, shift speed yes.
