Hey whats up guys? I noticed some guys mentioning something about an "SAI sensor" on '07 2.2/2.4's that the '06 models don't have, and how it narrows down their intake choices? Now.......i've been on this forum a good bit, talked about nearly everything, and done ALOT to my 2.4SS since I first obtained it late last year, and this is honestly the first i've heard about this. I have an '07, which has w/e the "SAI" is (can someone please fill me in on what this is, lol.......man I sound like a damn noob or something......), and I have the AEM 2.2 CAI on it. I've had the intake on since October, and no problems from it. Back when I had only the intake on it (before I put the full exhaust on which includes a XTC de-cat mid-pipe which throws the CEL), the CEL only came on a few times, and never for very long. Typically i'd see it once every couple weeks for less than a span of a day, usually a few hours or so, and then it'd go off for another few weeks. Should I be worried about this, as I know the AEM intakes aren't "SAI" compatible from what i've read. Could it be hurting my car? I've heard the K&N typhoon ram-air is the only one that "correctly works" for the '07 2.2/2.4. Should I switch to the K&N? If so, won't the K&N's heatshield hit my Ingalls ETD? Also, im getting it tuned with HP Tuners next week, so will my intake setup cause problems? Please inform me! lol

I know nothing about LE5 engines having SAI.

 

so its only for the l61 (2.2l), according to the thread.

 

Correct. I have never seen or heard of and LE5 engine with SAI.
