Yes I know there are a lot of threads on this but I want to ask some questions. I hav a spray can of the seafoam and I wanted to know if I just rev the car to. 2k rpms and then spray it down the throttle body.

use a vacuum line if possible and I think the liquid works better IMO.

hey guys. well i did this but i dont know what the problem is. i took the brake booster hose and my stepdad poured it in but the car just kept revving up by itself. I wasnt giving it any gas and the rpms kept going up to 4k. after we got half the can in, we let it sit for 10 mins. after that i started it and it sounded a little funny, and NO SMOKE. so i drove it around the neighborhood and still no smoke and the car wasnt running like it normally does. took alot of pedal to get it going. i floored it and it only went like i was giving it 30% throttle. whats the deal?????

Anyone know why the car kept revving up by itself while pouring in the seafoam. I was told to keep the car at 2k rpms so I did that while my stepdad poured it in and then the car started revving itself after I took my foot off the gas.

You said you know there are threads on this, but you obviously didn't bother to read them.

they out line with pics what exactly to do, and where to pour it in, and give exact instructions.

It will rev, that's normal, you are putting a petroleum based liquid in a vacuum line.
Do you also get surprised when it revs when you give it gas? another petroleum based liquid?

No smoke because you probably poured it in too slow and it all burned off slowly as you were putting it in.

I put it in and then at half a can I let it drink and stall. Then I know it didn't all burn off for sure.

Then start it up and she smokes.
She'll be hard to start at first, but once she gets going and the smoke starts clearing up she'll be running like new.

Now go read the sticky how to on seam foam...

I find the key is to get it in there and keep it so your just so not stalling it.
Then give it a big drink and stall it.
Basically you've flooded it at this point with sea foam.

Let it sit for at least 10 min.
Staring it up will be like starting a car that was just flooded and sat for 10 min, because, well it is just that.

Then lots O smoke, and she'll be rough at first, but then
later the smoke will clear
then all will be good.

Thanks nutty. The car kept dieing when I took the vacuum hose off. Is that the reason for keeping the rpms at 2k
