Smaller rims
Just put my Dunlop M3 Winter sports on for the upcoming snows of New England. I changed out my factory 17" rims for some tirerack 16" alloy rims. What kind of effects will I see because of the different diameter rims?

well, the ride will be much smoother and more comfortable. if you had stock tires it will be quieter as well. if you had wheel hop it will be gone. at the end of winter i don't think i'm gonna want to take my winter wheels off

Maybe, maybe not depends on more then just the size of the rim.
Check out the differences in tire sizes and weight of the combo vs stock. The size of the rim is only part of the equation. If you have a taller tire your car will move more distance in 1 rotation then you would with a shorter tire. The mpg difference could have changed due to either difference in weight (more effiencey), or difference in wheel/tire height (speedo and computer are set for your stock size tire, using a different size will through that off).

You haven't driven on M3's. Very very little difference. I used to hate to go back to my Rossos after having my M3's on a little. Sometimes if you REALLY push the car to the limit, you can feel the sidewall flex, but overall not much difference at all in handling.

Analyze before you post young grasshopper.
You can see in his sig the SS badge on the center of his door, which was only done in '05. They moved the SS badge down in '06. In '05, there was no such thing as a 2.4SS, as it was introduced in '06, meaning if its got an SS badge on the middle of the door, its a 2.0 SS/SC.

click on the reflash link in my sig. in that post there are two tire size calculators that will tell you the difference. if you went with a smaller rim but a larger profile tire its possible you could be the same. if you input the two in there it will compare them. if your new tires are smaller diameter wise then your speedo and odo will be fast and high and vice versa

which sig were you looking at if its 71vette he doesn't have a pic yet but if you were looking at d4's sig then ya its a 99.99999999999% chance that its a 2.0.

I was looking at d4's, and no duh, thats what I was saying all along how you can't get d4's sig confused between a 2.4 or 2.0 b/c the placement of the SS badge. Which is why I said it was obvious that it was a 2.0.
