no its annoying if you posted with a topic header like: "I got the westers tune" , or "I just bought a new tune" something to that affect that makes ppl think oh you've already got it done, & have results.... p.s. congrats let us know
*sigh* so it didnt happen yesterday... we met and he took the reading and everything but they told me that the programming had changed... bastards at gm.... anyways, they could have given it to me but i would have no speedometer so i chose to wait, lyndon worked on it and fixed it later that evening so now we're picking a new time to reschedule

well it did get done today, i did experience better gas mileage on the way home, as far as performance, i did feel a difference.. it wasnt as big as everyone is saying that it is but i did notice a little difference
i guess i dont really know what i was expecting to happen, i'll have to take it to the track sometime to see what the times are... only problem is that all i have around me are 1/8 mile tracks
i dont know why the 5 speeds dont feel that big of a difference... maybe you guys are shifting too early? i mean i dont even floor it from a stop, if i just hold my food down it will go up to 7000 rpm before shifting.

um no. Everyone knows the make 'er go you shift it at redline
Far as I know I am the only one--5 speed or auto to actaully test before and after Westers. And I got zilch
hmm i dont know if when they change the redline, if the light is supposed to change with it, because the light comes on the same time it always has, and even if i shift before 7000, i should still be able to feel that difference up until i shift

maybe, havent driven one with the vector tune.. i am probably just expecting too much from it since everyone hyped it up to be bigger than it is.. who knows, im gonna go drive for a bit and see if it's gotten any better
too take full advantage of any tune you must use it in combination with other mods. CAI, Header, Exhaust, Cams...You get the idea.
Yes I see u have a CAI but that might not be enough to take full advantage of the new tune just yet.

I don't know how you guys feel but I know in other car communities generic tunes are looked down upon.
from the title of this thread i was expecting different content.
I paid for it once... you know.. i was young.. it was vegas... oh, right back on topic.
Theres basicly a point where all tunes are going to be about the same, i wouldnt rack yourself over who will get you the best numbers from a mail order, look at someone local who will do a real life dyno tune for you and call it a day...
theres lots of delays and retarding in the stock tune. JUST removing those alone will give you tons of more fun-play-happy-stuff stock. in fact, the first mod should be a tune.
yuup.

We do develop our tunes on the dyno & the street . I wouldn't call it generic by any means .
