oh man.. you need about 40hp just to compete with an ss n/a (and it would probably have to be a sedan like yours.)

the easiest way to keep up is a 50 shot of nitrous.
but, there is also the Alpine Turbo kit.

why would it have to be a sedan?? lol are we hatin right now??

it's more likely that it would have to be an auto. Foolish racists discriminate against sedans. just because we look different. haha

Nah, I dont think you would compete on an even playing field. maybe a stock 2.4 vs yours with the manifold, intake, exhaust. you MIGHT keep even. I think I would still put my money on him.

This is another nice and promising mod for us tho. CED Dyno'd +13hp running a 2.4 header so its promising. $230 for 13hp isnt too bad. Maybe it will help our cars get out of the way of themselves.

Yeah, the only way a 2.2 would beat a 2.0 is if the SS broke an axle on the launch.

Yeah guys the 2.2 isnt as far behind the 2.4 as you think. Especially if its a manual. Some guy with a Auto 2.4 said a manual 2.2 was only behind him 2 cars. I would say with the header and maybe the B&M shiftplus you would be pretty close to a stock one.

or the driver really isnt a driver and has an auto and cant drive and throws it in reverse and breaks an axle all in one and the 2.4 could still push it across the line and win lol

This should give you a pretty good idea. I'd honestly say it would be a driver's race. That isn't to mention tires and the other myriad of non-performance parts that could mean a few tenths of a second.

Also, weight has a lot to do with it. With less than 30 hp/tq between the two stock to stock, an extra couple hundred pounds in either car could mean the difference.
