probally just need tuning....i "think" they are a direct swap, but dont know for sure.

what mods does the 2.4 have? the injectors might be too big on just a stock or mild modded 2.4....

Yeah, just like Mike said, you need to go to your dealer and order a 2.2 injector harness. Don't pay more than $30 for it. And you will most definately need to tune for the larger injectors. There was a thread on just this yesterday floating around. Try and search for "Just got tuned" or something like that. You'll find it...

EDIT: PS - You doing this for a friend or something?

Yup, Happiness.

I ordered my 2.2 harness yesterday. It's supposted to be here tomorrow. It cost me $31 from my local dealer.

I'm getting my 2.4 dyno'd Sat with a/f monitoring. I think she may be getting close to maxing out the stock injectors top of 3rd with my current setup. I know she will max them out when I slip in a set of cams.

You have to get a 2.2L Injector harness, because it plugs into the 2.4L motor and the 2.0L injectors without Modifying, and then you just go into HPTuners and multiply the Flow rate to get the correct rate.

Really fricken easy to do. Just did it this weekend on a car.

No the 2.0L harness does not work, because it has completely different wiring harness adapter than the 2.4 and 2.2L and it does not connect to the throttle body like the 2.2 and 2.4L harnesses. DO NOT try to frankenstein your own wiring harness to save $31, that is just retarded!

BTW I am the one who does the tuning for these setups so ask if you need anything. I have tuned roughly 15 cobalts, and a few other cars as well. They are relatively easy to mess with. I also have tranny tunes that can make your 2.4L auto light up tires like you would not believe.

Some 2.4 guys are already running the stock ss s/c injectors and said they feel a big difference. I have my stock injectors for sale if anyone wants them.

No, you need the 2.2L harness only. Neither the 2.0L or the 2.4L works for this swap. The 2.2L harness makes those injectors plug and play into the 2.4L.
