ss/sc injectors in a 2.4
Sorry the only person with the part numbers was in the hospital with his daughter for over a week. Otherwise he would have got it for you guys. I would expect him to post it soon, since they released her last night. :-) Hooray for his family!
this is family wagon you are referring to???is his daughter ok?
Sorry guys. Been off the borads for a couple days now. Thanks Steve for letting everyone know what happened.
To be brief, like Steve said my daughter had to have surgery and we've been in the hopsital since Thursday. She's only 6yrs old and we all got scared when the doctors said surgery. She's doing good now and she got home this afternoon.
I finally got to work today and checked the harness I ordered for a friend and it was wrong also. The one I ordred was for a 05-06' 2.2. I didn't think we were gonna run into any trouble with finding a harness.
So you guys are lucky I work at the dealer and can order as many harness' as I need till I find the right part number for you guys. My buudy and I did some research today and think we got it figured out. Won't know till tommorrow when it comes in. Ill definitly keep you guys posted.

hmm... so let me clarify.... the injector harness from the 2.2L and the injectors from the 2.0L work with the 2.4L as a plug and play, but only if you have the right part number on the harness.
To do the injector swap, parts needed are as follows
1. stock 34lb ss/sc injectors
2. 2.2l harness GM# 15411879.
3. Tune to adjust for new injectors.
This is probably the easist mode I've done. Besides the tuning part. It only takes litteraly 10-15in to swap injectors and it all plugs n play.
If any needs help or how to let me know and I'll post up.
I agree, what type of whp and trq are we looking at? Enough to make it worth while? Not that it wouldnt be anyways since I'm almost at 70% WOT injector cycle with just a short ram. I plan on quite a few mods coming up so the added capacity would help. A walk through would be great since its around 30 degrees constantly here, not to mention 15 the other night. I walk out to my car at 9 AM and it's F**KING 16 DEGREES OUT WITH THE SUN SHINING!!!
depends. some folks say that even in stock form, it starts to lean out a bit at higher RPM because it flows so mcuh more air than the 2.2.
the issue is, if you swapped them, you'd need to have it tuned by someone that knows what they are doing so that you're not running stupid rich all of the time. the EC will adjust itself to a point, but it won't expect larger injectors.
in truth, if you're doing the "Typical" set of bolt ons... that is, intake, header, downpipe, exhaust, and then getting an ECM tune (well worth it, if you ask me) then it's probably worth the extra 2 hours and $100. if you're concidering a cam swap on top of all that other crap. it's DEF worth it. if only because of the flexablity of tune

Most 2.4L SS's make their peak HP at around 6400rpms, after the mods and tune, the powerband moves up to around 6,700rpms, giving you a longer range of usable HP.
Other cars alse see a few degrees of knock in stock form, which should not happen in these engines, but with IDC's in the 90% range, it's expected. After doing the retune of both engine and tranny (for auto's), the car makes a significant amount more power by feel, and reduces IDC's to the mid 70% range at max. We are going to be taking it out to the track to see what we can get as far as time improvements. We have a great baseline time, but I am confident that we can blow it out of the water.
You will want to get intake and exhaust to compliment the engines ability to destroy volumes of air as well. Auto's will need a tranny cooler, but manuals will be fine.
The additional fuel and rpms give you the ability to add some more timing without raising the IDC's to dangerous levels, and that also results in additional power levels, without getting knock.

Correct. To make sense of all this so people don't get confused.
